– Face Data: We collect facial images to enhance the security and trustworthiness of the ErrandWaka community. This data is collected temporarily using Amazon AWS Rekognition API.
– Location Information: We collect real-time GPS data from your device when you use certain features of the App, such as during errand fulfillment and real-time task tracking.
– Payment Information: Payment details provided for transactions, such as debit/credit card information, are handled by third-party payment processors (e.g., Paystack, Stripe).
- Collection and Use of Face Data
ErrandWaka uses Amazon AWS Rekognition to collect and compare face data from the images captured using your device’s camera and the profile picture you upload. The collection and use of face data are solely for verification purposes, ensuring that the images captured match the profile picture uploaded, confirming user identity. This step is necessary to enhance trust and credibility among Senders and Runners on our platform.
– Non-Storage API Service: Face data is collected in transit only. We do not store face data, nor do we transfer it to any third parties. The face data is processed by AWS Rekognition APIs in real-time and is discarded after the comparison is completed.
– Purpose: The face data is used for verifying the identity of users (both Senders and Runners) to ensure that the uploaded profile picture belongs to the person using the App.
- How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
– Account Verification and Security: Ensuring user identity through KYC and facial verification.
– Service Delivery: Facilitating task posting, matching Senders and Runners, and real-time tracking of tasks.
– Payment Processing: Processing payments and payouts securely using third-party payment providers.
– Customer Support: Providing assistance when you contact us with questions or concerns.

We do not store or share your face data with third parties. The face data collected for verification purposes is handled temporarily and securely via Amazon AWS Rekognition. Once the verification process is complete, the data is discarded immediately.

– Face Data: As stated, face data is used in transit for comparison purposes only. It is discarded immediately after the verification process and is not stored on our servers or any third-party storage system.
